Step through the front door and you are immediately met with a view of high, dramatic space in the initial hall area. Forward, a staircase leads to the “bridge” landing which connects 2 bedrooms and is above the dining area. This space is over 60 feet long and features the original roof beams, now sandblasted , and also the sitting room on the raised level. A fireplace is placed in the centre of the sitting area but it is no ordinary log fire! Designed as a major feature, it is formed from cast concrete and takes logs up to 3 ft long. 3 sofas are grouped around it.

To avoid unsightly radiators underfloor heating is fitted throughout giving warm floors that are a delight to walk on in bare feet.

The professional kitchen has 2 fitted ovens with a stainless Italian Boffi unit housing the large hob and basins. Cherry wood is used for the fittings and each surface is topped with a granite slab. A combination microwave oven is built in.

Attached to the kitchen is a compact utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer, and a larder opposite.

Leading from the kitchen is a TV room fitted with a DVD 5.1 surround sound and DTS player that is Playstation-ready.

There are 6 bedrooms that are all fitted with double beds or twins. The main suite has an en-suite bathroom and a large dressing room together with it’s own study/sitting room.

As you would expect in a luxury holiday rental other facilities at the Old Scool include: Parking for several cars; dishwasher; linen and towels; selection of DVDs and CDs; broadband; and logs for fire. Heating, gas and electricity included for holiday lets.
